Fermato is a smart low cost utility. It may be used in many house and lab control or alarm appliances.
It comes in a small electronic board, without enclosure, and the user may install it everywhere he wants. In large quantities AEE may provide a customized enclosure and the user receives the Fermato ready to use.
The user may choose its primary function from a sort of choices when ordering it. Advanced users may develop their own program using the basic source code supplied to the registered Fermato users.
Since the display is used to show momentary information the battery life span is about 2 to 3 years.
The digital I/O lines may be used as external sensor inputs and control outputs. Applications using these I/O lines need some external circuit that are not currently supplied by AEE. However, AEE may develop the application for you, with no additional cost when you buy in large quantity.
Possible applications using I/O lines are:
- - Elapsed time counter for phone calls or energized appliances (you may know how much time the shower is being used).
- - Customer counter. Using two optical sensors to detect when someone enters a room.
- Secure giant clock. Send control signals, using optocouplers, to an external circuit that drives big lamp or LED displays.
- Product counter. An external sensor enables independent machine production counter.
- Hour counter. Useful to count how much time a machine has been used.
Applications (standard)
Millennium counter (3 digit)
- Shows the number of days remaining to year 2000. Rings the buzzer and lights the display automatically every hour or when the sensors are touched. In January 1st it changes the program automatically and becomes an egg timer.
Silent clock (4 digit)
- Works as an alarm clock. Lights the display only when a sensor is touched. Therefore, it doesn't disturb during the night because the display is off. The sleep function has the time reduced each time the user touches the sleep sensor.
Chess timer (3 digit)
- Counts the time left to each player. Blips smoothly when the time is over.
Lottery guess (3 digit)
- Presents different numbers each time the sensors are touched. The user must inform the range when ordering it. A code using the sensors enable the device to swap function with an egg timer.
3 dices (3 digit)
- Presents the face of three dices, randomly, each time the sensors are touched.
